Samolus Parviflorus Red (Lysimachia Parvifolia)
Samolus Parviflorus ‘Red’ (also known as Lysimachia parvifolia) is a hardy, low-growing red aquarium plant ideal for the midground of a planted tank. When provided with moderate to high lighting and a nutrient-rich substrate, its leaves develop soft reddish-orange tones and a rounded, chubby shape. While it adapts well to low-tech aquariums without CO2, its growth form will be noticeably different with thinner, greener leaves.
With a moderate growth rate, Samolus parviflorus ‘Red’ requires periodic trimming but is much easier to manage than faster-growing stem plants. Its forgiving nature, unique appearance, and soft color make it a great choice for aquascapers looking to add red tones without the extra care demands of more sensitive species.
