Aponogeton Ulvaceus is a large aquarium bulb plant originating from Madagascar. Its slight translucent, twisted rich green leaves create a beautiful focal point in planted tanks. Capable of growing up to 2ft, Aponogeton plants are best for large planted aquariums, ponds or setups that provide enough space for its height and expansive spread.
Important Note:This listing does not include fully mature plants. Please ensure you are prepared to care for bulb plants that may or may not be sprouted at the time of purchase.
Otherwise, as long as your tank is big enough, Ulvaceus is relatively easy to care for, hardy and will adapt to a range of water conditions. To speed up growth, adding CO2 will produce a significant difference. Like other fish tank bulbs, it may periodically enter periods of dormancy. During this time, its leaves may die off, but don’t mistake it for plant death! Allow it some time to rest and it will resprout once it enters a growing cycle again. If you’re looking for a fast-growing plant that adds lovely swaying motions and enrichment for your fish or shrimp, give Aponogeton Ulvaceus a go!
