Pogostemon quadrifolius, better known and misnomered as Pogostemon stellatus “Octopus”, is a species originally discovered in Laos. Named for its whorls of four leaves at each stem node, this plant is easy to care for and grows rapidly, making it ideal for both beginner and experienced aquarists. Due to its fast growth, regular trimming is necessary, and the cuttings can be replanted to promote fuller growth.
