Cryptocoryne willisii is a less common Crypt with narrower, grass-like green leaves and a more compact growth habit compared to most other species. It has a clean, simple look that works well if you’re trying to create a more natural, low-profile aquascape.
Like many Crypts, it can take a little time to get going after planting. Not much may happen at first, but once it settles in, it starts to spread and will produce plantlets that can be divided and replanted as desired.
Size wise, it is generally a little smaller, making it a good plant for midground areas in nano planted aquariums. Overall, this one is a nice choice if you’re looking for something smaller and unique but still easy to care for. Once established, it is suitable for low light setups and high-tech aquariums as well.
