Cryptocoryne wendtii ‘Tropica’ is a darker, more textured variation of the classic wendtii, known for its longer, crinkled leaves and deeper green to bronze coloration. It has a slightly more pronounced look compared to standard wendtii types, making it a nice option if you want more texture and color variation without increasing care requirements.
As a rosette, it slowly grows outwards, creating soft, textured patches along the base of hardscape layouts that transition well into other zones of a planted aquarium.
Like other Cryptocoryne, it’s slow to moderate growing and easy to care for once it settles in. Lower light is sufficient and CO2 isn’t required, but can be beneficial for overall health, color and form. A solid, low-maintenance plant that offers texture and varying coloration.
