Compatibility & Tank Mates
Angelfish do best in a peaceful community of similarly sized, calm fish. Great tank mates include Panda Cory, Bleeding Heart Tetra, and Black Skirt Tetra, along with gouramis and peaceful rasboras. Avoid known fin-nippers such as tiger barbs, and remember that adult angels may eat very small fish or shrimp. Keep young angels in a small group, as they often pair off as they grow. Pair them with our other Koi Angelfish and Platinum Veil Angelfish for a stunning display.

FAQ
Which color variety will I get?
This is an assorted listing, so the pattern varies. You may receive silver, zebra, marble, gold, koi, or another variety. We hand-pick a healthy medium-size angelfish for you.
How big do angelfish get?
Adults reach about 6 inches long and up to 8 inches tall with their fins extended, which is why a taller tank suits them well.
Are angelfish aggressive?
They are semi-aggressive. In a roomy community they are generally peaceful, but they can become territorial as they mature or pair off to breed.
What size tank do they need?
A 29 gallon tank is a good minimum for one or two, and 55 gallons or more is better for a group. Extra height is appreciated.
