Ultum Nature Systems Controsand is a line of natural aquarium sands, gravels and substrates designed for planted aquariums and aquascaping. Availabile in many styles and colors, each type produces a different result that is great for a variety of aquascaping styles. They are natural products and can be mixed and matched for ultimate customization in your tank, terrarium, paludarium and more. Rinsing is recommended before use to remove finer grains and ensure a crystal clear start.

Available in 3L and 8L bags. The 3L bag is great for nano aquariums up to the UNS 45U rimless aquarium. The 8L size is great for tanks larger than the UNS 60U standard rimless aquarium.Shop all planted aquarium substrates!

Tahoe works well alone or combined with other cosmetic sands to create a custom blend for planted tanks, terrariums, paludariums and more.
