Ultum Nature Systems Controsand is a natural substrate for the planted aquarium. Available in several styles, each type produces a different result that is perfect for creating a variety of looks in the planted aquarium tank. Controsand is a natural product and is safe for all planted tank and freshwater aquarium applications. Rinsing is recommended before use to remove finer grains and ensure a crystal clear start.

Each style of UNS Controsand is available in 3L and 8L bags. We recommend the 3L bag for nano aquariums and tanks up to the Ultum Nature Systems 45U rimless aquarium. Maui is a natural substrate designed for freshwater and planted aquarium use. Its dark color palette is versatile and works with both aquarium stone and driftwood heavy aquascape layouts.
