Among the most colorful and showy South American Cichlids, the True Red Terror or Festae Cichlid is a large growing and extremely territorial fish. Found in the coastal drainages of Ecuador and Northern Peru, they inhabit clear or whitewater rivers and streams, usually over rocky substrate. In the aquarium, they are aggressive even by cichlid standards, and should be kept singly or with other large fish aggressive enough to hold their own.
Diet: Predator and omnivore, will accept most frozen and prepared foods.
