How to Use

• Planting:Attach the tong head, grip the base of a stem plant, push the tongs into substrate to seat the plant, then release and slowly withdraw.
• Trimming:Attach the scissor head and snip stems, mosses, or carpet plants at a leaf node. Trimming above a node encourages new lateral growth.
• Debris pickup:Use the tongs to grab fallen food, dropped decor, dead leaves, or a misplaced ornament without draining the tank.
• Aftercare:Rinse thoroughly in fresh tap water after every use; pat dry and return to the carrying case to keep the blades sharp.

FAQ

Will it reach the bottom of a tall tank?
The 27 1/4-inch handle reaches comfortably into most tall and standard display tanks. For show tanks taller than ~28 in, measure first.

Is it sharp enough for thick stems?
The scissor head handles soft and semi-woody stems well. For very thick rosette plants or hardscaped roots, dedicated aquascaping scissors will give a cleaner cut.

Can I use it in saltwater?
Yes — for coral fragging, soft-coral trimming, or reaching items in a reef tank. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after every use to prevent salt creep on the moving parts.

Does it rust?
The metal heads are corrosion-resistant but not stainless surgical-grade. Rinse and dry after each use and store in the carrying case — the tool will hold up for years.
