The Tiger Goby is a striking saltwater fish prized for its bold striped pattern and active personality. This small to medium-sized goby thrives in established marine aquariums with plenty of rockwork and hiding spaces. Known for its bottom-dwelling behavior and curious nature, the Tiger Goby makes an excellent addition to reef and fish-only setups. It feeds readily on small crustaceans and prepared foods, and typically coexists peacefully with other non-aggressive species. Ideal water conditions include stable salinity, moderate flow, and temperatures between 72–78°F. A minimum 30-gallon tank is recommended to provide adequate territory and foraging opportunities.
