Why Replace Your Sediment Cartridge?
Over time, the sediment cartridge will become clogged with particles that it removes, which results in lower water pressure reaching the membrane. Lower pressure results in slower water production and decreased efficiency. Replacing your sediment cartridge helps ensure peak RO system performance and protects the other filters by being the first step in the RO filtration process.
The amount of RO water you’re producing matters and every water source’s quality is different, but a good rule of thumb is to replace your sediment cartridge when it looks visually dirty, or every 6 months, whichever comes first.
