SAGITTARIA LANCIFOLIA RUMINOIDES (REDSTEM SAGITTARIA)– Tall, lance-like leaves that arch outward create a beautiful, architectural appearance. The base of each leaf is brushed with red. Combine this with the clusters of white flowers held above the foliage, and this plant makes a statement in any pond or water feature. Sun to part shade. Can grow up to 4 feet tall.
SAGITTARIA LATIFOLIA (ARROWHEAD)– One of the largest and most conspicuous of the Arrowheads. Moderate-sized, arrowhead-shaped leaves can be 8 inches wide and over a foot long. Three petaled flowers appear in summer. Full sun. Can grow up to 4 feet tall.
SAGITTARIA MONTEVIDENSIS (AZTEC ARROWHEAD)– Large, stiff, spear-shaped leaves are produced at the end of thick stems. White blooms with large dark red spots on the bottom of each petal with a yellow center. Can grow up to 4 feet tall.Full sun to part shade.
SAGITTARIA SP. – RUBRA (DWARF RED STEMMED SAGITTARIA)– Minature version of Redstem Sagittaria. Cute, and a profuse bloomer. Leaves arch outward. Base of each leaf brushed with bright red. Clusters of white flowers held above the foliage. The leaves 15″- 18″ flower spike is above the leaves. Zone 7.
