100 Micron vs. 225 Micron — Which Do I Need?
- 100 micron(this product) — finer filtration, best for polishing an already-clean system and trapping fine particulate
- 225 micron(see it here) — coarser, flows faster, best for newer tanks or heavier bioloads where you want less restriction
FAQ
Will this fit my Red Sea REEFER or MAX?
No — this sock is sized for the Max Nano only. For REEFER / MAX systems, use the REEFER/MAX Thin-Mesh Filter Sock.
How often should I change filter socks?
Every 3–7 days depending on bioload. The longer they sit, the more they become a nitrate source.
Are they reusable?
Yes — rinse thoroughly or machine-wash (cold, no detergent fragrance). Replace once the fibers break down or stop cleaning up properly.
