Quantum Phosphate Removeris a purified lanthanum solution that strips phosphate out of marine and reef aquariums, including the chemically bound phosphate your test kit cannot see. Excess phosphate fuels nuisance algae, browns out coral tissue, and slows skeletal growth by interfering with calcium carbonate uptake. Dosed daily against your measured phosphate level, it brings PO4 down quickly and keeps it there.

What It Does
- Removes ionic AND bound phosphate:phosphate binds to calcium in reef water, hiding from test kits and causing calcium swings. This formula eliminates both forms.
- Starves nuisance algae:lowering PO4 removes the nutrient that drives most algae blooms.
- Protects coral color and growth:high phosphate masks vivid pigments with brown tissue growth and slows skeleton building.
- Simple liquid dosing:no reactors or media bags. The bottle cap doubles as a measuring cup (a full cap is roughly 8 mL).
How To Use
No shaking required. Add the daily dose to a high-flow area of a saltwater aquarium running a protein skimmer; the skimmer pulls out the precipitated phosphate. Rinse the cap after each use. Do not overdose: a white film forming on the glass means you are dosing too much. Test phosphate regularly and adjust the dose as levels fall.
Dosing
Daily dose per 100 L (26 US gallons), based on your measured phosphate:
| Measured PO4 | Daily Dose / 100 L (26 gal) |
| 0.03 to 0.25 ppm | 0.1 to 1.0 mL |
| 0.25 to 1.0 ppm | 0.5 to 2.5 mL |
| 1.0 to 5.0 ppm | 1.0 to 5.0 mL |
| 5.0 to 10 ppm | 5.0 to 10.0 mL |
| Above 10 ppm | 10.0 mL |

Recommended Pairings
- A protein skimmer is required. The IceCap K3-130INT in-sump skimmer handles tanks up to about 130 gallons.
- Dose against real numbers with the Hanna HI774 ULR phosphate checker or the Fritz PO4 test kit.

FAQ
Why does my test kit say phosphate is low but algae keeps growing?
Part of your phosphate is chemically bound to calcium, which standard test kits cannot read. This remover eliminates bound phosphate too, so the readings you take afterward reflect reality.
Do I really need a protein skimmer?
Yes. The lanthanum binds phosphate into particles that your skimmer removes from the water. Without a skimmer those particulates stay in the tank.
Can I use it in freshwater?
No, it is formulated for marine and reef systems only.
Is it reef safe?
Yes when dosed per the chart. Go slow, test often, and watch for white film on the glass, which means you are overdosing.
