For best results, provide intense light and CO2 injection to help Pogostemon deccanensis maintain a compact, bushy form. Its moderate growth rate means it requires less frequent pruning than many other stem plants. However, if the lower part of the plant doesn’t receive enough light, it may shed leaves and develop strong roots. Simply cut off the tops and replant if this occurs.
