Phoenix Tetra(Hemigrammus filamentosus) has a distinctive filamentous extension on the dorsal fin of males —filamentosusmeaning ‘thread-bearing’ — giving adult males an elegant trailing dorsal fin thread that justified the dramatic common name. From the Orinoco drainage.
