Pearl Weed, botanically Micranthemum micranthemoides, is a classic North American aquatic stem plant producing densely packed, rounded mini-leaves on branching stems that create a uniquely bushy, compact foreground to midground structure. Unlike grass-like carpet plants, Pearl Weed’s stem-plant growth habit allows it to be trimmed and shaped into low mounds, compact foreground groupings, or allowed to grow as a natural, spreading foreground accent — making it one of the most creatively versatile foreground plants available.

Care tip:Pearl Weed grows best in moderate to high lighting with CO₂ recommended. Maintain temperatures of 72–80°F and pH 6.0–7.5. Regular fertilization supports healthy growth.
