Microsorum Pteropus Fishtail is an oddball Java Fern for planted aquariums and aquascaping. This variety offers good texture and bright colors that include shades of green, yellow, pink and orange. Like other aquatic ferns, it is hardy and will forgive a range of water conditions. This makes it ideal for beginner aquariums where fluctuations can be more common. Recently reclassified asLeptochilus pteropus, this plant is still widely known in the hobby as Microsorum pteropus.
Its split-end leaves are ideal for filling in empty space or just for adding extra visual interest in a low light aquascape! Its care is similar to other popular low-light aquatic plants like Anubias, Bucephalandra and Cryptocoryne. As an epiphyte, it grows best when attached to driftwood or porous surfaces.
