This small Asian fern, often found in rice fields, is a hardy and versatile plant ideal for aquariums. Its tiny leaves rarely exceed 0.2 inches in width, and it thrives even in low light and high temperatures, though better conditions enhance its growth. When planted in small bundles, it spreads through offshoots to form a dense, well-anchored carpet, reaching a height of 0.4–1.2 inches. Perfect for creating a lush, compact foreground, this fern is a low-maintenance choice for aquascapers.
