Madra Wood is a new, stunning alternative to Malaysian Driftwood. Madra wood is light weight, has intricate textures, and twisted, sculptural branches that create a dynamic, natural look in any aquarium. Madra Wood waterlogs faster and releases fewer tannins into the water than its Malaysian counterpart. Its branching structure makes it ideal for attaching mosses, ferns, and epiphytic plants, allowing for creative aquascaping possibilities. Whether you’re designing a nature-style tank or a dramatic focal point, Madra Wood provides a versatile, visually striking foundation with minimal maintenance.
Usage Tips
- Sinking the Wood:Initially use a weight or rock to sink the wood; it will naturally submerge after becoming fully saturated.
- Normal Fungus Development:A temporary white fungus may appear but is harmless and may be consumed by fish or shrimp. It can also be removed with gentle scrubbing.
The look of your individual piece(s) will vary from the photo depicted.
