More and more municipalities are using chloramine for water treatment instead of chlorine. Standard carbon block filters only treats for chlorine and will allow ammonia and other impurities to reach your RO membrane and possibly your aquarium. A chloramine-removal cartridge will remove chloramines and ensure your aquarium receives the purest water possible.* if you are unsure about chloramine use in your water, you can request further information from your local city hall or water treatment center. Carbon block pre-filter is often used as the second stage filtration after the sediment filter for reverse osmosis systems water purification.
The 5 µ carbon block pre-filter removes organics and chlorine from the feed water that can damage the membrane.

NOTE: Place the cartridge in the appropriate housing and flush for a minimum of 10-15 minutes prior to use. Use only with microbiologically safe and adequate disinfected water. This Standard Limited Warranty applies and is limited as follows:

• To the product only as long as it remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
• To the product that has not been subject to accident, misuse or abuse.
• To the product that has not been modified, altered, defaced, or had repairs made or attempted byother than CoralVue, Inc.
• That CoralVue be immediately notified in writing within ten (10) days of first knowledge of defectby owner or his agent.
• That CoralVue, Inc. shall be given first opportunity to make any repairs, replacements orcorrections to the defective construction within a reasonable period of time.
• Under no circumstances shall CoralVue and/or the Manufacturer be liable by virtue of this warrantyor otherwise for damage to any person or property whatsoever for any special, indirect, secondary orconsequential damages of any nature however arising out of the use or inability to use because ofthe product defect.
