The HOB design has an easy installation on the outer wall of the aquarium without taking up valuable tank space. It is easy to remove the filter for cleaning. The water inlet is also equipped with a sponge to prevent small fish or shrimp from getting suck in.

The built-in pump drives the full filtered water circulation:

-First, the rotating drum filter traps particles, food debris, and fish waste.

-Then, the porous bio-sponge provides a large surface area and open porosity to absorb odor and discoloration and break down waste.

-Finally, a one-touch drain removes accumulated debris quickly. After multiple layers of filtration, clean water flows out of the outlet.

Easy replacement

hygger aquarium dual flow filter comes with 2 bio-sponges and 1 PP filter media for fine filtration. The filter media can be added or replaced as needed.

Usage Tips

1. One of the filter cartridges is already fully assembled and ready to use.
2. It is recommended to clean/change the sponge cartridges every 2-4 weeks.
3. Rinse or squeeze the sponges by using the aquarium water & avoid tap water.
4. You can connect the drain pipe to quickly discharge sewage.

Installation Tips:

1. HG283 filter fits a 1.4″ frame or glass maximum. Please measure your tank’s plastic frame size and glass thickness before installing it.
2. The minimum water level in the tank should be no more than 10.5 inches below the aquarium rim.
