Why You’ll Love It
This hygger 256 sponge filter combines biofiltration, oxygenation, and physical filtration. It purifies the water and then flows back into the aquarium with oxygen. It can not only filter more efficiently, but also cultivate more beneficial bacteria for tanks 10–55 gallons. The water flow is adjustable, small, and slow without disturbing the tank inhabitants.
Key Features
Mechanical & Biochemical Filtration
The hygger biochemical sponge filter uses the rising air to generate a strong adsorption force on water. Through the sponge and bioceramic balls, it adsorbs and decomposes impurities, filtering and purifying water quality effectively.
Upgraded Stronger Adsorption Force
HG256 sponge filter adopts a vertical stripe design arranged perpendicularly to the water inlet holes, which has a greater filtration area and a stronger adsorption force for filtration. The bio-ceramic balls cultivate beneficial bacteria in water to degrade impurities.
Freely Replaced
Both sponge and bio ceramic balls can be replaced. You can easily take down the sponges to clean or replace (4 sponges included).
Porous bio-ceramic balls can be washed and reused. After being used for a period of time, they can be freely replaced with other filter media.
2 Installation Methods
All components of the hygger 256 biochemical sponge filter can be easily disassembled and assembled. It is equipped with 2 strong suction cups and 1 hang-on extendable plastic clip, offering 2 installation methods.
