Effective treatment, containing Metronidazole, to help treat hole-in-the-head and lateral line disease. It has a slime-coat replacer to accelerate the healing of infected external regions for freshwater, marine, and pond fish.
Contains:metronidazole (2-methyl-5-nitroimidazole-1-ethanol) Active ingredients: Sodium Chloride, Synthetic Polymers and a Chelating Agent.
Directions:(Bath) As a bath treatment use Metro+ for metronidazole-susceptible microbial diseases of marine and freshwater aquarium and pond fishes (e.g. hold-in-the-head and lateral-line erosion), use 1 capful per 10 gallons of water. Partial or complete water changes must be made prior to the beginning of treatment and every 24 hours thereafter, followed by re-treatment. Repeat the treatment ever 24 hours for 5 to 7 days or until mortalities cease or healing of lesions occurs. If improvement is not noted within three days, discontinue treatment and consider other therapy. (Oral) For systemic (internal) infections can be fed mixed with fish food.
