Gratiola viscidula, a unique plant from North America, is a standout in the aquatic hobby due to its distinct, slightly “thorny” appearance in its submerged form. This versatile plant is easy to grow, thriving under good lighting and adapting well to regular trimming. It can be maintained as a low, almost carpet-like plant or shaped into a dense cushion for foreground or midground placement. Each stem measures approximately 0.5 – 1 inches wide and can grow over 4 inches tall, with natural branching that creates a lush, compact look, perfect for enhancing any aquarium.
