• Use 1.5-2 pounds of sand per gallon of water.

Instructions for Use

1. Rinse sand before using.
2. To rinse, place sand in a large bucket, add water, stir and pour out the cloudy water.
3. Repeat until the water is clear.
4. Place sand in your aquarium before filling with water.
5. Begin filling your aquarium by pouring water onto a plate or saucer sitting on the sand to help minimize stirring up dust.
6. Do not run your filter until dust has settled; dust usually settles in a few days.
7. To clean your sand bed with a gravel vacuum, care must be taken to avoid removing the sand by limiting the flow rate through the siphon tube.
