Fritz PraziCleanse is a pre-measuredpraziquantelparasite treatment for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, packaged in convenient single-use powder packets. Each packet treats 10 gallons, so dosing is foolproof: no measuring spoons, no liquid syringes, no math — open the packet, dose the tank. Praziquantel is the safest, most effective broad-spectrum dewormer available to hobbyists, targeting flukes, tapeworms, and internal/external parasitic worms while leaving the biological filter and reef inhabitants unharmed.

Dosing & Usage
- Dose:1 packet per 10 US gallons of tank water.
- Treatment duration:Leave in tank for 5–7 days. After treatment, perform a 25% water change and run fresh activated carbon to remove residual medication.
- Repeat:May be repeated after a 25% water change if parasites persist or for prophylactic re-treatment of new arrivals.
- Cautions:Remove chemical filtration (carbon, GFO, Purigen) before dosing — these will pull the medication out of the water. Always have backup aeration; oxygen levels may dip during treatment.
- Best practice:Use as a quarantine treatment on new arrivals before adding them to your main display tank.

FAQ
Is PraziCleanse reef-safe?
Yes — at the recommended dose praziquantel is generally considered safe for corals and most invertebrates. Remove chemical filtration before dosing, and as with any treatment, observe sensitive species closely.
What does it treat?
It targets flukes (gill and body), tapeworms, and internal/external parasitic worms. It does NOT treat ich (Cryptocaryon/Ichthyophthirius), velvet, or bacterial infections — different pathogens need different medications.
How long do I leave it in the tank?
Standard treatment is 5–7 days. Then do a 25% water change and run fresh activated carbon to remove residual medication. Repeat the dose after the water change if parasites persist.
Will it harm my biological filter?
No. Praziquantel is gentle on nitrifying bacteria and won’t crash a healthy biofilter. Continue running your filter as normal — just remove chemical media (carbon, GFO, Purigen) for the duration of treatment.
Packets vs. liquid praziquantel — which is better?
Both work the same active ingredient. Packets are easier for accurate single-tank dosing (especially smaller QT tanks); liquid is more cost-effective for very large systems. For most home aquarists, packets win on convenience.
