ATI® Essential Phosphois a specialized component of theATI® Essentials Systemdesigned to prevent phosphate and phosphorus deficiencies in reef aquariums. While reef keepers often focus on lowering nutrients, phosphorus is actually a fundamental building block for coral biomass development. A complete deficiency can lead to “nutrient bottoming,” resulting in rapid tissue loss (RTN/STN) and a collapse of the coral’s metabolic processes.

Essential Phospho allows for the controlled and precise elevation of phosphate levels to maintain a healthy biological balance.

In modern, high-performance reef systems—especially those utilizing oversized protein skimmers, carbon dosing, or refugiums—phosphorus can become a limiting factor.

Dosage & Application

• Managing Limitations:If your system is severely phosphorus-limited, the added phosphate may be consumed almost instantly by corals and bacteria. In these cases, it is recommended todose several times a dayuntil the levels stabilize.
