Eriocaulon sp. ‘Vietnam’ is a less common aquatic plant, known for its bright green, grass-like leaves. It resembles Eriocaulon sp. ‘Goias’ but can be distinguished by its size and slightly arched leaves. Although this genus has a reputation for being difficult to grow, this variety is relatively forgiving and often considered one of the easier Eriocaulon species. Still, it requires the basics: quality aquasoil, good lighting, CO₂ injection, and a complete nutrient source with both micro- and macronutrients.
When healthy, it forms dense tufts that resemble grass, making it an excellent midground choice in a planted tank. Successfully growing this plant rewards you with a unique and beautiful addition to your aquascape. If you’re looking for a reliable plant to grow at the base of stones, Eriocaulon are solid contenders!
