Elephant Skin Stone, also known as Seegebirge Stone, is a popular aquascaping layout material that features unique texture and light grey color. Its characteristic grooves and indentations are caused by years of natural erosion, giving it a leathery, wrinkled appearance.
With occasional depressions and concave areas, Elephant Skin Stone has a natural, organic look that pairs well with bright green aquarium plants. Unlike Seiryu Stone and other popular planted tank hardscape choices, it lacks jagged or sharp edges and is instead more rounded, producing a softer aethestic. Its also a good aquarium stone for fragile-finned fish like Betta splendens, Ranchu and Oranda fancy goldfish.
