Eleocharis pusilla ‘Mini’ is a compact carpeting plant that stays under 4 inches tall, with delicate, light green stalks that curve gracefully. Originating from Thomas Barr in the USA, it’s even shorter than Eleocharis parvula, making it perfect for nano aquariums or creating lush, low-maintenance carpets in larger tanks. Plant it in small portions to quickly achieve a dense, vibrant carpet with minimal trimming, as its leaves remain only 1 – 2 inches tall. Thriving best under good lighting, this reliable species is ideal for aquascapers seeking a beautiful and manageable foreground plant.
