The Electric Blue Acara is a freshwater fish belonging to the Cichlid family. Although Cichlids are known for their aggressive behavior, Electric Blue Acaras are a much calmer cichlid that can be housed with many different tank mates under the right circumstances. When fully grown, they will reach 6-7″ and require 30 gallons minimum, but if you keep other acaras or other tank mates, a larger aquarium is recommended.
