Stainless steel Lily Pipes by Dymax work beautifully in planted aquarium tanks. These aquarium lily pipes are constructed from surgical grade stainless steel providing a sleek appearance that is extremely durable and resistant to scratches and unsightly rust during maintenance. In addition to a solid build, these stainless steel lily pipes have the ability to withstand acidic and alkaline water parameters and will keep their shape through normal wear and tear. Unlike their glass lily pipe counterparts, stainless steel lily pipes are usually lesser prone to algae coverage. The inflow pipe is constructed with thin slits ensuring that aquarium water stays clean from large debris while keeping smaller freshwater fish and shrimp species safe from being vacuumed into an aquarium filter. Stainless steel lily pipes provide ample flow and circulation ensuring the aquarium tank is aerated properly. Proper circulation is important for planted tanks as it ensures that nutrients and CO2 gas are distributed evenly, resulting in lush aquatic plant growth, instead of algae manifestation.
