Deltec VF Series Fleece Roller Filters are a compact, high-flow mechanical filtration solution designed to remove suspended debris from aquarium water before it can break down into unwanted nutrients like nitrate and phosphate. Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums, they use an automatic fleece roll system to trap waste particles and help keep aquarium water clearer.

Why Use a Deltec Fleece Roller Filter?

Unlike traditional filter socks that require frequent cleaning and replacement, the VF Series roller filters automatically advance clean fleece as the used section becomes clogged with uneaten food, detritus, and other particulate waste.

As water flow through the fleece slows, the internal water level rises and activates the float switch, advancing the roll until clean fleece is in place. This effectively removes the trapped waste from the system. The integrated emergency overflow helps ensure water continues to exit the filter in a controlled way if the water level ever rises too high.

Designed for Easy Installation

Each VF Series roller filter comes fully assembled and ready to use. It is designed for in-sump use and can be set directly in the sump or hung on the side of the sump wall using the integrated hang-on holder (filter must still be physically inside the sump). Water can be supplied directly from the aquarium drain, through a manifold, or with a separate feed pump.

The included diffuser helps distribute water through the filter while reducing noise, making it a strong choice for reef, marine, and freshwater systems that need efficient mechanical filtration without constant filter sock changes.
