Cryptocoryne Lucens is a unique aquatic plant that is typically seen in the midground area of a planted aquarium. This particular species grows slender leaves that retain a rich light green hue throughout. Its leaf shape is softly rounded at the tips and larger groups are great for creating tufts or thick grassy bushes where additional texture is desired.
Like other Cryptocoryne, C. Lucens is hardy when established. It can take some time to establish during the initial planting period, but once it sends down roots, it is adaptable to a range of water conditions. As heavy root feeders, use a nutrient-dense aquarium soil or supplement with root tabs. Keep water parameters stable and your plant will slowly spread in no time. Once ready, plantlets can be gently divded and replanted as desired.
