Cholla Wood is the dried husk of the Cholla Cactus and is a popular natural choice for shrimp tanks, small aquariums, terrariums, and reptile tanks. Its hollow structure and natural openings provides shelter for shrimp, fry, and other tiny critters.
Over time, Cholla Wood develops a biofilm that is readily grazed by shrimp and other microfauna. It can be used on its own, covered with aquatic mosses, terrarium mosses or paired with rhizome plants such as Bucephalandra and Anubias to create naturally planted logs.
