TheBrightwell Bio Plategives your aquarium a boost in biological filtration using a thin, stackable form factor that fits easily into tight sump spaces. Made from ultra-porous ceramic material, each plate offers a high amount of surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. This helps support natural nutrient processing and long-term stability as your system grows. Unlike the No3 Plate, the Bio Plate does not contain sulfur and is designed for broad biological filtration, making it a great option for ammonia and nitrite control or for increasing total bio capacity in any system.

We particularly like the plate form factor as it allows us to place the plate between most sump baffles.

Paired withMicroBacter Start XLMto quickly seed the brick with live nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, this bundle is a simple way to add both general biofiltration and targeted nitrate reduction to new or established aquariums.
