Thriving in well-maintained tanks with ample hiding spots and moderate lighting, Blood Fin Tetras are relatively easy to care for. Maintain stable water conditions with a temperature range of 72°F to 78°F (22°C to 26°C) and a slightly acidic to neutral pH level between 6.0 to 7.5.
Their diet consists of high-quality flake food, supplemented with small live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms. This ensures their health and brings out their natural coloration. Blood Fin Tetras might consume small freshwater invertebrates, especially if they are small enough to fit in their mouths. While they are primarily omnivorous and mainly feed on flake foods, they can exhibit opportunistic behavior and may nibble on tiny invertebrates like small aquatic insects or larvae if they come across them in the tank.
