The Black Balloon Lyretail Molly is a selectively bred variation of the common molly, originating from the warm, slow-moving rivers and coastal streams of Central and South America. Its “balloon” body is the result of careful breeding for a short, rounded shape, giving it a distinctive, adorable appearance.
Black Balloon Lyretail Mollies are peaceful, social fish that thrive in small groups of five or more. They coexist well with other gentle, community-friendly species such as Guppies, Platies, Swordtails, Corydoras, and Tetras.
