Anubias Frazeriis a cultivar or hybrid Anubias growing to 6 to 10 inches, characterized by narrow, pointed leaves in a more upright growing form than the typical spreading Anubias barteri group. The care chart describes it as perfect for midground use — and the upright, pointed leaf form makes it indeed a natural midground plant whose more vertical structure creates interesting visual variation among the typically horizontal-spreading Anubias genus.

Planting tip:Never bury the rhizome in substrate — Anubias Frazeri should always be attached to driftwood, rock, or other hardscape with the rhizome fully exposed. Use cotton thread or aquarium-safe adhesive to secure it, and the plant will anchor itself naturally over time.

Care for Anubias Frazeri is as straightforward as any Anubias. Low to moderate lighting, low CO₂ needs, temperatures between 72 and 82°F, and a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 provide comfortable growing conditions. Regular liquid fertilization supports healthy growth and maintains the pointed leaf form and deep green color. The upright growth habit makes this a useful bridging plant between foreground Anubias forms and taller background species.

Like all Anubias, Frazeri should be attached to driftwood or stone with the rhizome fully exposed. Its more upright growth means it is well suited to vertical pieces of wood or stone where the pointed leaves can extend upward naturally, creating height variation on the hardscape.

In the aquascape, Anubias Frazeri provides useful structural variety in collections where multiple Anubias species are displayed together. Its narrow, pointed leaves and upright form create a very different silhouette from round or broad-leaved varieties, adding a sense of botanical diversity and visual interest.
