APT Dew
APT Dewis a foliar mist — a fertilizer you spray directly onto leaves rather than dose into water. It’s built for the emersed side of the hobby: terrariums, paludariums, wabi-kusa, and the dry-start phase of a new scape, where plants are growing in humid air rather than underwater. Based on the same Capstone formula at the heart of the APT fertilizer line, it delivers a comprehensive blend of macro and micronutrients in a form designed to absorb cleanly through the leaf surface.
At Cuboid, the APT range is what we run in our own aquascaping display tanks — products we use ourselves day in and day out, and recommend without hesitation to anyone serious about a planted aquarium.
Why Foliar Feeding:Spraying nutrients straight onto foliage is a trick borrowed from commercial horticulture — it bypasses root and substrate limitations for fast, direct uptake. The catch with foliar feeding is that it has to be both frequent and carefully calibrated to avoid leaf-burn, and APT Dew is formulated specifically to thread that needle for mosses, ferns, and the aquatic and semi-aquatic species these setups are built on. It’s safe for the animals that share a paludarium too — fish, frogs, snails, isopods, and other inverts.
If you build emersed scapes the way we do, APT Dew fills a real gap: it keeps emersed growth lush, compact, and strongly colored during the weeks before a tank is flooded, and it’s a mainstay for anyone running planted terrariums or paludariums long-term. Each bottle ships with a fine nano-mist sprayer for even, gentle coverage.
Dosing Guidelines:No measuring required — simply mist the foliage evenly two to three times a week, enough to lightly coat the leaves without soaking them. Use it on emersed and semi-emersed growth (it’s not meant for dosing submerged tank water). Consistency matters more than volume, so a light, regular spray beats an occasional heavy one.
